#SUT07 and the Footsteps to Fun photo contest

I guess there is one thing I forgot to mention about #ShootUrTweeple07: to celebrate the opening of the Sentosa Boardwalk, they are holding the Footsteps to Fun photography contest. And since we are there to shoot anyway, why not participate in it?

#ShootUrTweeple goes to Sentosa!

This is the seventh edition of #ShootUrTweeple (or #SUT), thanks to Lisa and the management of Sentosa, we are happy to announce that this edition will be held on the must-visit Singaporean tourist destination! Twitter fights traditional retweets

Twitter is not the only company to fight their users, but they must be one of the few who are willing to go to ridiculous lengths to do something that users don't want them to do.

I regard David Weigel as pretty fair-minded, so when he caught some flak for this tweet calling same-sex marriage opponents "bigots", a well-reasoned response was expected. Weigel delivered.

Caught in the middle

ShootUrTweeple #sgtweetup Walkbout Edition

It was probably the first time where the number of DSLRs were matched by the number of lomo cameras! Much fun was had by all. Many thanks to Kevin who organised this, and even had walkie-talkies to make sure no one got lost!

#FollowFriday ver. 7

This #FollowFriday, my recommendations will center around the people whose company I enjoy the most on Twitter. It may be an inane conversation, but people who care to make conversation are people who matter. These people make the daily grind bearable simply by being there.

James Chau: "AIDS is not just about AIDS"

Just read this article on AIDS written by James Chau, the UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador.

AIDS is not just about AIDS. On the plane to and from Bali, Bernhard Schwartländer of UNAIDS China reminded me time and again to talk of AIDS in terms of people. After all, these 6,700 [deaths per day] and 75,000 [infections per day] aren’t just numbers to impress nor are they nameless faces.
