V-Day on the streets
Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 2:58PM In my previous post I said to go out and make some photographs on Valentine's; turns out that my friend Christopher Vu went ahead and did just that. Armed with nothing but a camera, a lens, and his willingness to ask the couples he came across to pose for a snap. In the middle of Orchard Road, Singapore's prime shopping district.
You can see all the photos he collected here on Flickr. Yes, it isn't traditional street photography for those who prefer a stealthy approach. It might not even be "art" to those who would prefer to nit-pick. But Chris went out with an idea and made photographs he wanted to make. No excuses. No "sniping". This is what he wanted to do, and he did just that. And he did it well. Well done, Chris.
How many of us can say that? And what's your excuse?
