#ShootUrTweeple goes to Sentosa!
Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 9:27PM This is the seventh edition of #ShootUrTweeple (or #SUT), thanks to Lisa and the management of Sentosa, we are happy to announce that this edition will be held on the must-visit Singaporean tourist destination! The first 30 participants who RSVP through Twtvite will be granted free entry into Sentosa, so if you haven't done that, do it now while there are still spots available.
This will be a whole day affair, starting at 2pm and ending only at about 9.30pm, with regular breaks in between of course, including dinner, so for those of you who signed up, be sure to keep yourself hydrated, bring an umbrella (Singapore's weather is notoriously fickle), and remember to have fun :)
The program we have planned will take us to the new and as-yet-unopened Sentosa Boardwalk, which will officially open on January 29th, a week after #SUT, so this is a fantastic chance for an exclusive preview of the Boardwalk for us. The trek will also take us to the Merlion for a great view from its crown, before we head to Sentosa Nature Discovery, where nature and macro shooters can go wild. We will also take a ride on the Luge down to Siloso Beach and explore Palawan and Tanjong Beach as well, with lots of photo opportunities for the people or street photographer.
We will also take the Skyride before settling for dinner, and if we're lucky, we might get to see a surprise at the end of the day. But no matter what, #ShootUrTweeple was first organised as a fun activity for tweeple to share their love of photography, and this edition will be no different. Remember, film and lomography are highly encouraged, and we recommend using nothing but one prime lens and one camera. If you don't have an SLR, any camera will do! Yes, even the one on your iPhone.
Because photography isn't really about gear, it's about the pictures. To prove it, I will be bringing only one film camera, and will be taking an equal amount of shots on my iPhone as well. Try it, you may find it more fun than you realise :) See you guys there this Saturday!
