A different Hari Raya celebration
Friday, September 25, 2009 at 1:41PM A residential committee (RC) in Bukit Merah is organising a Hari Raya celebration party for low-income families on September 27th; my friend Ching-Wi is promoting this with her newly-formed Com.passion.sg group. This is mooted as a family bonding event that includes Chinese and Indian families, and it is a great chance to share the joy of the festivities with people who genuinely need our attention and love.
So if you guys have the time, join up! Sign up instructions can be found here on Facebook, or just drop an email to sgcompassion@gmail.com with your name, mobile phone number, and email address. It would also be great if you can share your thoughts on this event in the mail. Directions o the event can also be found in the FB link above.
Com.passion.sg will also be soft-launched very soon, and I will have more news for you when it happens. It looks like an interesting social project, and worth putting my time into.
