#FollowFriday ver. 7

This #FollowFriday, my recommendations will center around the people whose company I enjoy the most on Twitter. It may be an inane conversation, but people who care to make conversation are people who matter. These people make the daily grind bearable simply by being there.

The first name that came to mind is my old friend @GrowlyBear / @bruincoffee, not only for his company on Twitter, but also IRL. The coffee sessions and lunches, and helping me foment the thoughts in my head that ultimately end up on this blog, and always willing to provide another perspective. And no, he's not my ghost-writer, despite our similarities.

And then there's @JosephLane, our Canadian coffee-crazed journo and father who only very recently started a blog. His open mind and willingness to question everything throws the unimaginitive and judgemental amongst us into psychological disarray. I thank him for that. You will too.

@MariKurisato had been pretty quiet recently, but I will miss her a lot when she quits Twitter, which is supposedly happening really soon. She's got a wicked sense of humour, and while she does not take crap from people whose intent is to proselytise or indulge in "intellectual jousting", she's always there with a well-timed barb to remind you who's the boss: she is.

@Wolfgang_ (yes, with the underscore) is a member of the infamous #bumfondle crowd, and seems to always have a word of encouragement for everyone he comes across. I'm normally cynical about people like that, but he is a genuinely warm soul, and I respect that in spite of his penchant for girly drinks a man would not be caught dead with.

Another member of the #bumfondle crowd is @inrsoul, who can switch quickly between a senseless conversation and a serious one, and keep it going effortlessly. He speaks his mind but isn't snarky, and we share interests like photography (though he's a pro) and cooking for our wives, and the similarities provide a deep pool of topics. Not that we need a lot :)

Rounding off the list is @TheBibik. Yes, she is Peranakan, she's smart, and she teaches piano to kids. She also drives around in a van she named Reggie. Apparently, Reggie takes her places. We both love to read, though I favour non-fiction, we are actually going to do this book club thingy with @GrowlyBear. Imagine that, book club in this day and age.

Have a great weekend ahead folks, and follow these people pronto.
