#FollowFriday ver. 6 - The Manly Men Edition
Friday, August 21, 2009 at 4:34PM Another week goes by, made easier by the company of my Twitter pals, and it's time for #FollowFriday again. Following last week's Ladies Edition, it's natural to follow up with one for the sexy man-beasts I know on Twitter. I present to you: the Manly Men #FollowFriday.
@RayBeckerman is an ever-present in my #FollowFriday lists, and he should be on every one's following for his legal work kicking RIAA butt, caring about the struggles of indigenous peoples in Peru and elsewhere, and for supporting healthcare reform in the US. The man gives a damn, and still remains one of the nicest people you can talk to.
@webaddict once chased down a car thief who tried to make a run for it. He got him too. How many people can claim to have done that? How many do you know who have done that? Probably none. I know just the guy, and knowing him makes you cooler by association. Almost. Plus, he's a really nice chap to talk to, sexy beard and all.
@JosephLane is my coffee-loving mate from Canada, who recently started a new blog. He's a self-confessed liberal, and he's got a wicked sense of humour to go with that crazy obsession with hockey. Don't let the hockey fool you, he's sharp. We could do with more people like him around here.
@siewkumhong is a former Nominated MP in the Singapore Parliament and a long-time human rights activist. He's deeply involved in Maruah, and his role was instrumental in helping to restore AWARE to where it belongs. He also does not mind laughing at himself or his sexy baldness, and plays Guitar Hero. If that's not good enough, well, it's your loss.
@mrbrown is one of Singapore's most prominent bloggers. His podcast, the Mr Brown show, and blog satirises much of the political show in Singapore, and most of the time he hits his target dead on. We all know it's funny if it's true, and sometimes his funny hurts.
And finally, I give you @TheExpert, the man from Bronx, NY, who claims he's got an opinion about everything. That's probably true, but he delivers it like no one else. If you are confused about an issue, he will set you straight, be it talking on Bluetooth headsets, or why celebrities don't follow you back on Twitter, or even how well to leverage DMs to sell your shit on Twitter.
That's all from me this week, have a great weekend.
