#FollowFriday Ver. 4 - The Twitterati Edition

For this #FollowFriday, I'm going to recommend those whom I consider the "Twitterati"; these are people who truly make Twitter enjoyable. Forget Britney Spears, or Demi Moore's husband; these are the real rockstars, the big kahunas, the 800-pound gorillas (figuratively speaking of course).

There can be no mention of a list like this without mentioning @zaibatsu. Reg's not only a Twitter star, but he also connects on other platforms such as Facebook. He makes an effort to interact with all his followers and is constantly looking for other interesting folks to follow, and puts out a ton of great content. His influence is obvious; people are willing to retweet him without checking the links. Which points to his credibility.

If Reggie is king, then @BuzzEdition, aka Susan, is the queen. Like @zaibatsu, she connects with all her followers and manages to find some of the best online content available to share. She also possesses a warm personality and always manages to lift my mood. If she can do that, I'll bet she will make you smile.

This is not the first time I mentioned @RayBeckerman, and it probably won't be the last. You are missing out if you're not following him. He documents his battles as a lawyer against the RIAA, and actively champions the rights of indigenous peoples. He also managed, somehow, to make @MariKurisato play nice for an entire day in the name of charity. If he keeps this up, we're gonna have to make him a saint before too long. Not that he isn't one already :)

And so we come to @MariKurisato, whose artwork adorns this page, and somehow manages to make a picture of me look purdy and still realistic. There are boatloads of reasons why she is awesome, but I will stick with her love of napalm, cyborgs, and this. Enough said.

Finally, gamer girl @krystynchong; iPhone and Twitpic afficionado, Blip.fm DJ, Guitar Hero goddess, and smoky eyes that can set anything on fire this side of the galaxy. If we wanted to know why social media exists, we now know: because @krystynchong lives on this planet. Thank your chosen deity today.
