Good News Tuesday

After all the serious posts lately, I thought it might be time to share some fantastic news that has happened to lift the spirits a little around these parts. There can never be too much cheer, right? Just don't count on this being a regular Tuesday feature, but it might be if the good news keep coming in.

We begin in Thailand, where my friend, co-worker and photgraphy mentor Lee Jiing, who celebrated the birth of his second child, a bouncing, healthy boy, a few days ago. Photos are already up on his Facebook page. Welcome to the world, baby Jiing Yong! Both his wife and the kid are doing well. The boy appears to have inherited his dad's feistiness and appetite, which frankly is no surprise. I'm very happy for him. Time to work even harder for the family bro! Go onto his FB page and send your congratulations.

Back to Singapore; while we are still on the subject of babies, my god-sister Jacqueline also gave birth to her second daughter last month, on June 23rd. I know, it's "old" news, but it's something that still brings joy to me. Now Jamie will have someone to play with! We'll be visiting her soon hopefully, will need to catch up over some food.

While I can still remember, my old friend Thomas also became a father for the first time on May 12th. I know what you're thinking, just because I haven't blogged about it doesn't mean I'm not happy, mmkay? I'm just really happy for them.

One more just for good measure; this one has nothing to do with kids. You might remember June as the "professional writer and lunatic" from a previous post; she finally broke the news that her work is finally accepted by a publisher. That's right, we have a published writer in our midst! Well done June, you deserve it! *virtual hugs*

Don't you feel warm and fuzzy now? I feel better already.
